Designed for beginning and intermediate users, this course teaches you practical strategies for using Laserfiche more effectively. Specifically, you’ll learn the best methods of organizing, indexing and locating documents in your Laserfiche system, and you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the tools you can use to add documents and other files to your repository.
Browser Basics
The Laserfiche Folder Browser is the first thing users see when they log in to the system. In this session of the course, you’ll learn how to customize the Browser so that it shows the information that’s most relevant to you. You’ll also learn how to use shortcuts to quickly locate documents, how to efficiently work with documents in the Browser and how to use links and versions to organize documents according to their relationship with each other.
Indexing & Templates
Templates are a critical component of a well-designed repository. This session of the course covers best practices in template design and helps you use document metadata more effectively. You’ll also learn how to make the best use of the system’s metadata management tools, such as field-level security and field constraints.
Scanning Basics
Laserfiche utilizes an intuitive scanning interface that works with a wide variety of scanners and multi-functional peripherals. In this session, you’ll learn how to fully utilize this interface and its comprehensive image clean-up tools. This section also provides you with an overview of the “basic” version of the interface, which has fewer options and is designed for users who only scan documents on an ad hoc basis.
Search & Retrieval
Laserfiche includes comprehensive search tools that help you quickly locate a document using any piece of information you have. In this session, you’ll learn how to use each of these tools, how to customize searches to best meet your needs and how to save your search results for reporting purposes.
These sessions provide an overview of specific Laserfiche products or groups of related products. These sessions are especially useful if you're considering adopting a new product or upgrading to a recent release of an existing product.

Getting Started with Quick Fields
Laserfiche Quick Fields is a prdoduction level capture platform that can automate the processing, indexing, and filing of documents. This session is designed to familiarize attendees with the Quick Fields interface and show them how they can use Quick Fields to utilize the basic image processing modules to simplify and automate their document capture process.
Laserfiche Records Management Edition (R.M.E.)
The Laserfiche Records Management Edition provides the ability to manage information according to formal rules governing the retention and disposition of records. Implementing a records management solution to follow the structure of records retention schedules is significantly different than implementing a standard Laserfiche solution. This session reviews the fundamental records management concepts and walks through file plan design, record series creation, and proactive records management using real world retention schedules.
Overview of Agenda Manager
Laserfiche Agenda Manager is a Web-Based solution that automates the creation of structured agendas for regularly scheduled meetings. This session provides a product overview and demonstration of the complete agenda publishing process, including item submission and approval and agenda formatting and publication.
Technical Overview of Laserfiche 8.0
This session will provide detailed, behind-the-scenes explanations of the migration process, giving you the building blocks to plan and execute successful repository migrations.

Web Access is a Web browser-based thin client offering virtually all of the document management capabilities of the standard Laserfiche interface. Web Access allows your IT staff to roll out high-volume Laserfiche access without increasing your organization's application support burden. Authorized users organization-wide enjoy simultaneous access to documents, whether they are using the corporate intranet or logging in from a branch office.Laserfiche Plus
You will learn how Plus interacts with the Laserfiche Client and Server in order to create its own Viewer and published repository and what that means for the overall publishing process.
Designed for intermediate and advanced users, this course teaches you how to best configure and maintain your Laserfiche system. The first part of the course provides you with a detailed overview of the Laserfiche Administration Console. The second part of the course builds on this foundation by teaching you effective strategies for security, configuring and maintaining your system, and backing up your information.

Backup & Recovery
Laserfiche includes a number of features that help you safeguard your critical information and access this information during an emergency. This session teaches you different methods for backing up your files and helps you design a disaster recovery plan that will best meet your organization’s needs.
Here we will give our closing remarks and collect the information forms we handed out at the registration table. We will also be giving away prizes for those that participate with the handing in of the information forms.
